Day 8 in the hospital!

Payton’s counts were up again today, with an ANC of 200, which is supposed to be the criteria for leaving. Payton’s platelets were at 7, so he did need a transfusion today. Dr. Bowman thinks that it would be good if Payton would stay at least one more night, to stay on antibiotics for his bottom. We are super frustrated since we were planning on going home today. I know that they are just being super cautious, but I really think that Payton is fine to go. Payton is improving every day and I know that he is really anxious to get home as well, so we will stick it out another day. Hopefully, tomorrow will be the day.
