Day 4 in the hospital!

Payton had another rough night. I’m sure he still doesn’t feel well. Payton’s platelets were at 7 and his HGB was at 7.0 so he needed two transfusions today. Hopefully, these transfusions will help him perk up a bit. Payton awoke and decided he was hungry for pancakes; he ate a couple bites, took a bath and is back asleep. I think he wore himself out fighting with the nurses to try and get a blood pressure reading. They decided to switch Payton’s antibiotics since his bottom is still bothering him, hopefully as a preventive to avoid what happened last round.

Payton has perked up a bit tonight. He has been walking around a little after wanting to be held all day. Hopefully, everyday he will start to get a little better. We are so excited that our little guy only has to get sick one more time. One more round and we can hardly wait to get our little boy back.

How do we begin to thank all the people we call our friends, for all the prayers, love, and support we have received from everyone? We have appreciated so much the phone calls of concern, meals and snacks, and monetary gifts. We are amazed everyday how the Lord works through others to get us through our challenges. I know that it has made me a stronger and better person. We are so grateful for the awesome people in our lives and we love you all!
