Happy New Years! 2007 was such a rough year, that I am really glad to see 2008 finally here. Payton’s diagnosis was extremely rough for our family this year. We have been so worried about him. We look forward to seeing him return to his healthy self and to have our life as normal as it can be. Whatever the definition of “normal” is for our family anymore? However, we still have a long road ahead of us after chemo with CT Scan, Echo’s, etc.
We all slept in on New Year’s Day. We were exhausted. Savannah and I went out and did some shopping, while Chad and Payton stayed at home and watched football. The kids played outdoors in the afternoon since it was a nice day. Savannah played on her new scooter and Payton played with his new Jeep that Aunt Jennifer gave him from her boys. They both had a lot of fun. Payton was being cross, so we decided to get him in the car for a drive, since he always falls asleep in the car when he is tired. We went and got his prescriptions and let Payton come home and nap. We made chili at home tonight and had another great day. Payton is still doing considerably well. There are times when he is cross and picky about what he will eat, but I know that’s expected during chemo. We take him back to the clinic later this week and are sure that if he makes it that long that he will need some transfusions as well as some outpatient chemo. We are really excited that we only have 2 more chemo cycles and yet nervous as well. We are staying hopeful that this cancer is gone and will never return. Thanks for everyone’s help and prayers in 2007 and Happy New Year!

So glad that he likes the Jeep- now if you can just get him out of it! Enjoy your last day of freedom from school and routine!
Love the pictures!
Love Dad
It looks like they had a great time!
Nick would love a jeep like that. Thankfully, he doesn't know they exist yet. :)
