Savannah's 1st grade program

Tonight I went to Savannah’s 1st grade program. It was very cute and Savannah did a great job! I got a picture with Mrs. Woods, Savannah’s Teacher and Dallin a friend of Savannah’s. Chad stayed home with Payton so I could go. It was nice having a short break.

Happy 7th Birthday Savannah!

Lunch with Savannah at her School.

Dinner at Chilis with friends!

Today was Savannah’s Birthday. I went to her school and took cupcakes to her class and ate school lunch with her. It was great to spend time with her; I need to do that more often. Jennifer came over to our house and watched Payton while I went.
We also took Savannah to Chili’s for dinner tonight. She invited Aleeya and Carly. The girls had a blast and we were stuffed. By the way, Payton had a good time with the girls as well. I can’t believe how fast Savannah is growing up. She was so sweet today; she told Chad and I this is the best Birthday ever, and it has nothing to do with the presents it’s that I got to spend time with my family.
Happy 7th Birthday Savannah. You are such a wonderful sweet girl. You have been through so much this past year, and I am so proud of you for being so strong. I feel so lucky to have you as my daughter.

Jason's Deli!

Payton insisted on taking his cake in the car seat. Big Mistake!

Tonight we met my sister Jennifer and her husband Todd and their kids at Jason’s Deli to celebrate Savannah’s Birthday. Savannah’s Birthday is actually on Tuesday, but we decided it would be easier to celebrate it with the cousins today. Jason’s Deli is a great place to eat and we had a lot of fun. Payton was a little cross since he fell asleep on the way there. It doesn’t happen very often that Payton get’s to see other kids, so it was fun to let him have a normal afternoon. Jennifer had to work tonight for the third night in a row, so we made it quick. Which was ok, since I don't want Payton around too many people and catching anything.

New Year's Day!

Happy New Years! 2007 was such a rough year, that I am really glad to see 2008 finally here. Payton’s diagnosis was extremely rough for our family this year. We have been so worried about him. We look forward to seeing him return to his healthy self and to have our life as normal as it can be. Whatever the definition of “normal” is for our family anymore? However, we still have a long road ahead of us after chemo with CT Scan, Echo’s, etc.

We all slept in on New Year’s Day. We were exhausted. Savannah and I went out and did some shopping, while Chad and Payton stayed at home and watched football. The kids played outdoors in the afternoon since it was a nice day. Savannah played on her new scooter and Payton played with his new Jeep that Aunt Jennifer gave him from her boys. They both had a lot of fun. Payton was being cross, so we decided to get him in the car for a drive, since he always falls asleep in the car when he is tired. We went and got his prescriptions and let Payton come home and nap. We made chili at home tonight and had another great day. Payton is still doing considerably well. There are times when he is cross and picky about what he will eat, but I know that’s expected during chemo. We take him back to the clinic later this week and are sure that if he makes it that long that he will need some transfusions as well as some outpatient chemo. We are really excited that we only have 2 more chemo cycles and yet nervous as well. We are staying hopeful that this cancer is gone and will never return. Thanks for everyone’s help and prayers in 2007 and Happy New Year!

Celebrating New Years Eve at Home!

We had a great New Year’s Eve. We of course stayed home since Payton’s counts are getting low. We ordered Chinese Food and a Pizza. We also made Carmel Popcorn and watched movies in front of the fire place. Payton enjoyed climbing on top of everyone during the movie. I think we all appreciate the time that we get to spend together at home. We can tell Payton’s counts are starting to get low. We are really hoping to stay out of the hospital; we’ll see how the week goes. We all stayed up until midnight to bring in the New Year, but went to bed right after.

Another great day at home!

Savannah and Payton Playing.

Payton has had another great day! We have enjoyed another day of being at home. Payton has been pretty silly today. He has spent a lot of time watching Caillou today, which is his new favorite TV show. Thought I would post a little video of him.

Savannah has been really sweet today. I have a cute picture of her as well. I can’t believe how fast she is growing and changing. She has lost her two front teeth and looks so big now. She is really enjoying school and has the best teacher. Savannah has really turned into a home body. She would rather stay at home playing with her barbies, webkinz, doing craft projects or watching high school musical. Savannah has been so sweet to Payton and I know that it hasn’t been easy over the past seven months, since she probably feels like Payton gets most of the attention. Savannah is a great helper around the house. She is always getting things for Payton and helping me. We love her and are so grateful for her.

Glad to be home!

We are so glad to finally be at home. We spent the day at home playing with the Kid's Christmas toys in front of the fire place.

Savannah even talked Payton into playing Barbie's with her.

Payton loves his new train.

Savannah made us Cinnamon Rolls with her new easy bake oven.
Savannah showing Payton how to play Webkinz.

Payton talking to Grandma on the phone.

Had a long day and I'm starting to get tired.

Payton has done really well at home. You can tell that he get's tired easy. I think that he is just so glad to be out of that hospital. We know that Payton's counts are starting to get low, so we are keeping him in. Hopefully, we can stay out of the hospital. We had a great day today.
