Day 4 Pirates of Bear Lake

Activities for the day included;
Root Beer jugging contest

Cleaning the deck (sweeping a balloon around three chairs)

Peg Leg Race

Pirate hook pretzel race

Hula hoop contest

The kids received their next Clue from the talking pirate and are now one step closer to finding the Hidden Treasure chest.

Clue Reads; Ahoy mates! Ten pirate chests you must find. They will lead you to the treasure map – if you are able to put the clues together. Stop ye whining ye yellow bellied, lily – livered landlubbers. It’s the booty you are looking for. The coins you will find will just wet your appetite to find the mother of all treasures.

#3 shiver me timbers – you have found the map! Do you think you can now find the long lost pirate treasure? You will find your next clue floating in the lake of the monster.

Later that evening Payton and Ella helped Grandpa make homemade ice-cream

We are heading to the lake tomorrow and ready to look for the treasure chest. Uncle Mike informed the kids that they aren’t the only pirates looking for the treasure chest so they are even more determined to find it.

Day 3 Pirates of Bear Lake

We hiked up to Bloomington Lake. To our surprise there was still snow there. Wow, I’ve never been up there and it was absolutely beautiful. Kids enjoyed putting their feet in the lake even though it was a bit cold. Once we hiked to the Lake we spent time talking and enjoying the scenery. We came home and had more snow cones.

Day 2 Pirates of Bear Lake *4th July*

The kids could hardly wait this morning to start the day. They awoke and quickly put on their pirate shirts waiting for the other kids to wake up.

Activities for the day consisted of;

-Decorating Patriotic cupcakes for the kids and My sister and I cakes

-Puzzle competition

-Coloring pictures of pirates

-Nature hike/learning names of trees

-4th July Activity- Quizzes Game Show to earn Patriotic Bracelets with Jibbitz

-Snow cones

-Pickleville Playhouse This year was “Chuck Wagon’s Wild West Show-down.” It was great this year, the story: Two groups crossing the plains on the way to California, converge on the tiny town of Busted Knee (population of 4.) It had the funniest villain which made the play, Latino Villain, Juanito Bandito. Savannah and Riley insisted on getting a picture.

Before the start of the show, Payton wanted to dance to the music on the stage. The older kids thought it was pretty funny.

Treasure chest was used for the time out chair. Payton was the first to sit on it since he decided to bite Ella.
